Shanenn Bryant: Holy crap, welcome to 2025. I can't believe it. It seems like just a blink of an eye. I feel like I have thought that the new year was so far away and that I had a ton of time. And then between Thanksgiving and a Christmas party and Christmas Eve and Christmas day, it was New Year's, like a snap of a finger.
Just like that. I feel, too, that the older I get, the quicker time goes by. These days, if somebody says, oh, that's next year, I'm like, oh, okay, yeah, no problem. That's super quick. And if somebody would have told me that when I was in my 20s, a year from now, would have seemed like, Such a long time. It's so fast these days.
Life is just in a hurry and getting very quick. But if you are new here, welcome. And if you've been around for a while, oh boy, do I have something to share with you today? I'm Shanenn. I'm your host.
And today's episode is different because it comes from really a deep realization that's been transforming how I see our work together. So, for two years, we’ve shared this sacred space talking about jealousy, relationships, insecurity, and those racing thoughts that keep us up at night.
You've trusted me with your stories. Stories of comparing yourself to others, of not feeling enough, of wondering if you'll ever break free from these patterns that seem to run on autopilot for us. And I've really had to trust you too with sharing my stories. What I've come to understand through my own journey and through working with so many of you is that our patterns don't live in boxes.
Like it's not just this jealousy thing. That inner critic that questions your worth in relationships, she's the same one making you doubt yourself at work, you know, in meetings, in the boardroom, in conversations with your coworkers. And, oftentimes,
showing up in your relationships with your family. They're showing up when you're comparing your body to everyone at the gym or your career progress to your college roommates. It's everywhere. I know this truth personally. growing up in a trailer in a small town out in the country, I had certain beliefs about What was possible for my life?
I had these hopes and dreams as a little kid, but even when I was dreaming them back then, I had this doubt that they would actually ever come true. Like, when I was dreaming about them, Because I've dreamt about being an entrepreneur and having my own business. I didn't know it was going to be a podcast and a coaching practice, but I always wanted to have my own business, do my own thing.
But even when I was dreaming about it then, you know, being an entrepreneur, helping other people. I, I had this feeling that it wasn't going to come true. Like I kind of, it felt really like a dream, like, oh, wouldn't it be so great if I were in a different situation, if I were a different person that could do that, that could have that.
Those beliefs, they didn't just affect my relationships. They shaped how I saw myself in every way, including my career, including how I measured up to my friends, including my relationships. And doing this podcast and speaking to the amazing experts that I have on here and amazing guests and to you, I've learned a lot.
And Here's what I learned. Our programming isn't compartmentalized. The same root patterns might be driving your relationship anxiety, your procrastination at work, your stress eating habits, and your reluctance to speak up in meetings.
We. have to talk about them maybe in a different way or maybe address them differently to get those things to click for us because they show up maybe differently and We're not connecting the dots all the time of this is why I'm like this at work and this is why I'm like this at home or with my family and this is why I'm like this in my relationships.
We're not always connecting those dots and so it may require different conversations and different tools. That's why I'm expanding our conversations. we'll still go into relationship confidence and managing those anxious thoughts, but now we'll also explore how patterns show up in your career, your health, your friendships, your relationships with money, every area where these deep-seated beliefs might be holding you back.
if you think about it. Maybe you're confident in your career, but you freeze in relationships, or maybe you're great at maintaining friendships, but you can't seem to stick with healthy habits. Understanding how your patterns operate in every area of your life gives you the power to transform them everywhere they show up.
So, I'm not leaving our relationship work behind. In fact, just the opposite. I've got new things in the works for 2025 to help you in your romantic relationships. It's about taking everything that we've learned about patterns and applying it to your whole life, because you deserve to feel confident and secure in every area, not just one.
And because of this sort of expanded net to help you with your patterns across the board, next week, you're going to hear a new intro. for the podcast, and I'm super excited about it. Now, if you were with me way, way, way back in the day when this was called Jealousy Junkie, it's not as big of a shift as that.
It's just kind of getting a little more broad, but still talking about patterns, still talking about insecurities, still talking about this jealousy in your relationship, but just in all of it. So, you're going to hear a new intro for the podcast. I'm so excited about it. This is going to be a great year of exceptional guests.
I already have so many amazing ones lined up for their interviews. But also, my hope is that it's a great year for you to take the plunge, make the move, take the steps to start feeling like you can relax, you can manage your emotions, to start to feel like. You're worthy.
I would guess that there'll still be some shared tears shed and some crazy stories that get shared here. But I'm so, so excited for you. I'm excited for this year. I'm excited to be able to offer some new things.

And believe me, it might make you feel a little bit [00:11:00] better because everyone shares their stories about, you know, things they've done when they felt jealous, or things they've said, or there's all kinds of things.
And that's the wonderful, beautiful part about it is when you first hear, oh, oh my gosh, I thought I was the only person who thought that way, who lived that way, who was obsessing about this. So even just that alone is so fantastic. But also, one of the three Tuesdays that we meet every single month, I will also do a quick training or a lesson.
